Ashley I hope you don’t take this so hard as a “failure” to make it sustainable. I’ve learned a lot from this newsletter over the years and have felt hopeful that at least some people are paying attention to the coffee industry. I completely feel the exhaustion you’re talking about — I’m 29 and I don’t know where my energy went, and I’m mad at myself for not having “monetized” my “content” better, sooner.
Ashley, You certainly have put a lot of effort into Boss Barista for the love of the coffee industry and your passion for quality, and employer/employee relationships. Thanks for enlightening me on many aspects of the business. Your current post is a great description of self assessment and making choices that are necessary for personal growth and taking care of yourself. I look forward to any posts in the future, but in the meantime, enjoy your journey of taking care of yourself.
