Ashley, I completely feel you. I definitely haven't been cultivating my community or space for as long as Boss Barista but I do feel sometimes like I have no idea what am doing and who the heck am I doing it for with my own writing. I think we (or maybe just me) sometimes underestimate the power of our voices and what our work has the power to do. I'm glad that you're not quitting BB just yet. I always enjoy your inquisitive interviews and the way you've opened my eyes beyond just the coffee in my cup💗✨.

Natalie! What a lovely note — I agree: we underestimate the power of our own voices, but sometimes recognizing that power feels so scary! Like, what if I use it wrong? What if it's misguided? But I think you're right: we have to focus on what we know and the community around us. I love that you're part of my community! Thinking of you and all your culinary adventures!

Thank you Jack! I truly appreciate it!! I know this newsletter has become like, 50% sad girl feels, so these continued affirmations are incredibly helpful. <3

Your curiosity shows through in every piece you write, and it’s one of my favorite aspects of Boss Barista.

This is a really special comment — thank you so much Cindy! Someone else in my Substack community mentioned that podcasts didn't really take off on their platform and it made me pause and think, "Oh darn, am I spending a ton of time on these interviews and they're just landing flat?" I'm happy to know they resonate with you <3333
